My greatest purpose is to ignite transformation, healing and joy in the lives of my clients, to reach their greatest fulfillment, their highest Self–Esteem, which I call Original.
Original Self–Esteem is the joy and love and internal power we were born into when we were children.
It is uncensored, unbridled and unprepared.
It is vital, spirited, energised and deeply loving. It knows that it is love without even having to think about it, before approval is given or success is achieved.
It loves itself for no reason.
It forgives itself for making mistakes and being imperfect.
Writing the book, of that title, Love yourself for no reason has been one of the greatest joys of my life.
I have also created a video series around the work and run a two day workshop entitled The Gateway to Peace, a meditative journey into discovering the loving, Awakened Being-ness that we are.
I live in Johannesburg, South Africa. A beautiful and troubled country.
I am blessed to live in a wonderful home with my amazing girlfriend of 11 years, Sue Gleeson and my three Zen cats, Guinevere, Amy and Frank. They have taught me much about the pure joy of innocence that calls with great power and gentleness from inside of us.
My greatest purpose on a personal level, before I do any of this work with my clients, is to ignite Awakening, self-love and internal power.
I am a work in progress. It is as much an ongoing process in me as it is in my clients.
I feel deeply blessed to have heard thousands of stories of joy and pain brought to me by my clients over 34 wonderful years as a clinical psychologist in private practice and 17 as a management consultant. Their tears and suffering and pain and longing and transformation, is as deeply embedded in this work, as it is in me.
I have been very blessed to have done some work for the United Nations World Food programme in Rome and to have been part of the faculty of the University of Stellenbosch Business School.
I am honoured to have worked with so many amazing people and to have been taught so many extraordinary lessons about myself, about life and about the pursuit of Spiritual Awakening and psychological healing by all of those that I’ve come into contact with.
I am utterly convinced that there is genius and joy and love within all of us. It is our true nature. It merely needs to be revealed beneath the conditioning and doubt and negativity to which we are all exposed.
I honour my pain and the pain of others for the ways in which it has expanded my Spirit and healed my suffering. To share this with others is the greatest blessing imaginable.
